•  The Federal government has released more details on the new three days-in-the-office policy. 
  
  • Managers need to create plans by Sept 9.
  
  • Rather than three days per week in the office, it’s actually 60 per cent of work time in the office, calculated monthly, which can allow for one week in, one week out, or other schedules.
  
  • Managers will verify where employees are through attendance reports, computer logins, and turnstyle reports.
  
  • Staff hired to work remotely before March 2020 are exempt.

•  Another Ottawa autism charity is shutting down this week. Ausome Ottawa has announced that it is shutting down after nine years, saying it has half the funding this year over last year. Ausome Ottawa specialized in sports and summer camps for kids with autism. Another autism charity, TIPS, announced its own closure earlier in the week. (Katelyn Wilson at CTV)

🥛 Community Fridge

•  Someone set a community fridge in Centretown on fire, destroying it. The Centretown Churches Social Action Committee stocked the fridge with food, which allowed hungry people to access it privately any time of day. (CBC) (Donations)

•  Ottawa Citizen sportswriter Tom Casey passed away Monday. Casey covered sports for 37 years; in 2020 a row of the press box at TD Place stadium was dubbed ‘Tom Casey’s Writer’s Row’. He was 76. (Ken Warren in the Ottawa Citizen)
