Dear members, dear partners,

There are only a few days left before our long-awaited get-together!

On December 14, we will open International Aerospace Week - Montréal 2020 with the International Aerospace Innovation Forum 2020, held around the theme of “Smart Travelling Rethought.” Given the particular context facing our sector, I firmly believe that this event will be a key moment to take stock of the situation and look to the future, to what lies ahead for our industry.

What promising technologies can we leverage for our recovery? How can our companies do well in the aftermath of the crisis? What mechanisms need to be put in place to accelerate the shift towards a greener industry for our passengers of tomorrow?

We will be fortunate to be able to count on more than 60 renowned speakers to answer these questions. We will also have the support and participation of several government representatives: François Legault, Premier of Québec; Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy and Innovation; Nadine Girault, Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie and Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration; and Navdeep Bains, federal Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry. They will all honour us with their presence!

The week will continue on Wednesday, December 16 with MRO and Defence and Security Day, providing an update on the challenges, trends and innovations in these sectors. At the same time, the Vitrines 2020 event will be an opportunity to promote the training and careers available in aerospace.

Virtual business meetings being held throughout the week look very promising. Don’t miss this opportunity to plan these meetings on your agenda now! This is a unique occasion to meet your peers, remotely, connected from the four corners of the world!

Register for this major event of the year 2020 and join us from December 14 to 17.

I look forward to welcoming you all,

SUZANNE BENOÎT

The COVID-19 pandemic invites us to rethink our methods of gathering. Organizing events and providing online services have become the new way. Aéro Montréal has therefore chosen the Swapcard virtual platform as part of the organization of the 2020 International Aerospace Innovation Forum.

This year, in a transformed environment that makes partnerships and the sharing of expertise paramount, we are inviting the defence and MRO sectors to participate in a combined event that will be 100% virtual. MRO and Defence Day, which will take place on December 16, is reinventing itself to ensure a dynamic experience for participants who will be able to attend the activities of their choice on the theme of defence or MRO during a day of conferences, workshops and B2B meetings.
