- – First time councillor for Rideau-Vanier ward, Stéphanie Plante, reopens the settled issue of a Salvation Army shelter and social servces hub on Montréal Road. Nicole MacAdam was named editor in November 2019 and was no longer editor in December. Not wanting to pay for repainting the entire name on the office door, Postmedia named Nicole Feriancek as acting editor.
- The Citizen editorial board wants to reopen Wellington Street even though talks between the City and the Parliamentary precinct have not happened. We note this because it's a strange stance: re-open it or keep it closed, both are reasonable but figure out who is in charge of the street first. (Ottawa Citizen)
- Citizen columnist Mohammed Adam wrote an article yesterday entitled ‘Why Ottawans should care about secret police board meetings’.
