The City wants your opinion on the naming of eight public amenities:

  • Mary Tsai Park A preschool park, located at 175 Third Avenue, Glebe Community Centre
  • Roger Michels Volleyball Court An outdoor volleyball court located at Osgoode Village Park, 5701 Philip Street
  • Dr. O.B. Wilson Park The new Minto Mahogany community park, located at 216 Skipper Drive
  • Lt. Col. Roland Ashman Park The new Minto Mahogany community park, located at 623 Bridgeport Avenue
  • Victor Cyr Woods The Innes Park Woods, located at 3828 Innes Road
  • Betty Hill Walkway A section of the Poole Creek Walkway to the west of Main Street, past the Community Centre, and ending at Johnathon Pack Street, located within Alexander Grove Park, 10 Warner Colpitts Lane
  • Crain Park A new park, located at 375 Byron Avenue

👟 Footwear 4 Kids

  •  Charity Foowear 4 Kids is collecting shoes at the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. The charity, which collects new and good quality used shoes, will be at the Aberdeen Pavilion today and tomorrow to receive donations.   •  The City planning department vows to speed up housing approvals from 200 days to 60. The new Provincial More Homes for Everyone Act sets fines for cities that are too slow in approving developments. Thirty-seven new hires are expected to be needed. (Elyse Skura at CBC

This charming little town has so many heritage homes to ogle, and at the same time you’ll be supporting Almonte General Hospital-Fairview Manor Foundation as well as the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum (MVTM).   •  Broadway Across Canada presents Jagged Little Pill, live at the NAC May 30 through June 4.
