Details have not been released but some subjects under negotiation were pay parity with the Mounties, remote working, and retirement benefits. A strike was scheduled to begin Friday. 🎓 University of Ottawa ✈️ Ottawa International Airport - Mexicana Airlines is mulling direct routes between Ottawa and Tijuana. The Mexican state run airline made an announcement the other day detailing its plans to create new routes to Montreal, Vancouver, Portland Ore, and Ottawa, as well as an expansion of its existing US hubs. The airline has not made a formal announcement of specific routes, nor has it yet negotiated with the Ottawa International Airport. (William Eltherington at CTV)
🚧 Bank Street - Prepare for traffic disruptions on Bank Street for the next few years. Starting today, phase one of the Bank Street Renewal Project will reduce traffic to one lane each way between Riverside Drive and Collins Avenue. Everything is getting an upgrade: watermains, sanitary and storm sewers; further, there will be a rebuild of the road and sidewalks, and new cycle tracks, street lighting, and traffic signals will be installed.
