🚌 Park-and-Ride Lots - Riverside South-Findlay Creek ward councillor Steve Desroches wants more activity on underused park-and-ride lots. Desroches suggests using the lots for airport parking with shuttle buses, but a City bylaw prevents overnight parking. He also suggested using them as pickleball courts during the summer. Stittsville ward councillor Glen Gower has suggested using them for housing. An unnamed person from the City said that as transit use grows, the lots will be used more. (Guy Quenneville at CBC)
💽 Technically Beautiful - Ottawa tech company Leonovus has sold all its assets to a US company for $2.5 million. That leaves the company with ‘significant amount of cash’ and a listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange. However, unless the company buys or creates a new business, it will be relegated to the stock exchange’s minor leagues, the NEX Board. In 2022, Leonovus sold only $5,000 worth of its data-encryption-across-multiple-cloud-servers business. (David Sali in the Ottawa Business Journal)
