🥅 So long, Lexusplexus - The City has renamed the Kanata Recreation Complex yet again. After paying $1 million for naming rights, a car dealer had hoped the Complex would be called the Tony Graham Automotive Group Recreation Complex – Kanata. 🚊 O Train - The O-Train will be closed between Hurdman and Parliament stations for two weekends. Not that there is anything wrong – Rideau Transit Group is closing the section during operating hours to check ‘the scope of required repairs to prevent water infiltration in sections of the tunnel’. The closures will be April 29 – 30 and May 6 – 7. (CBC)
🌊 River RIsing - West Carleton residents are being warned that the Ottawa River will be higher than normal this spring. Minor flooding is expected next week. In 2019, a flood broke records and caused a state of emergency. Newly minted West Carleton ward councillor Clarke Kelly says the City is more prepared this time.
