🚨 Ottawa Police Services Board

•  The Ottawa Police Services Board has accepted a recommendation from the City’s auditor general over sharing information. During the Convoy siege, board members complained that the Board chair was not relaying all the information she received to the other board members. The new rule means the Chair must provide a formal report or briefing at a Board meeting.  (Marlo Glass in the Ottawa Citizen)

🎭 Elegy

•  Geoff Gruson, president of the Ottawa Little Theatre, has died aged 56. Besides serving on the Board, Gruson had acted in 51 Little Theatre plays and directed 24. His most recent role was as Ebenezer Scrooge in this December’s sold out run of A Christmas Carol: Scrooge and Marley. Outside of theatre, he worked as a management consultant for clients such as IBM, Federal departments, and for Interpol. A celebration of life will be held at the Ottawa Little Theatre on Saturday, January 13th at 2:00 pm. (Ottawa Citizen)
