🎭 What a Joke
Le Troquet comedy club in Gatineau has been booking comedian Sonia Bélanger since June – but she doesn’t exist. Bélanger’s absence is announced at the beginning of every show and is considered a running joke by the owner. Montreal comedians Emna Achour and Coralie LaPerrière say the fake billing is a response to their campaign over the lack of female comedians in Québec clubs. The picture used is generated by artificial intelligence. (Sabrina Jonas and Kwabena Oduro at CBC)
