The Quebec aerospace industry newsletter
Aéro Montréal's mission is to mobilize stakeholders in Quebec’s aerospace ecosystem to support its global reach, innovation capacity and growth.
Message from the President
Dear members, dear partners,

Around the world, the economic recovery period has accelerated the shift towards a greener industry that the sector had set out to achieve before the crisis.

The International Aerospace Innovation Forum 2020, held under the theme of “Smart Travelling Travel Rethought,” will be a key moment to take stock of the latest technologies that will help achieve this ambitious goal.

From boarding the green aircraft of the future to the autonomous vehicles and flying taxis of tomorrow, we will discuss in detail the sector’s innovative strength and the leading-edge technologies that will enable the industry to bounce back and emerge even stronger. You will learn how the aerospace industry is mobilizing to build a sector recovery strategy that includes a focus on innovation, transitioning to new business models, and a low-carbon industry, while ensuring the preservation of a highly skilled workforce.

Numerous government representatives have confirmed their interest in this strategic sector in Québec and will do us the honour of joining us at this 7th 100% virtual edition.

The International Aerospace Innovation Forum will also be an opportunity to highlight the strength of Québec’s international collaborations with Japan.

Finally, the virtual business meetings look very promising, so don’t miss the opportunity to plan your schedule now.

Register for this major event of the year 2020 and join us from December 14 to 15.

I look forward to welcoming you all.

Our events are not to be missed!

Starting December 14, join us for the International Aerospace Innovation Forum.

Aéro Montréal has reinvented the format of the International Aerospace Innovation Forum. The 7th edition of this anticipated global event, from December 14 to 15, 2020, Aéro Montréal will offer you a virtual, interactive, bold and safe edition on the theme of "Smart Travelling Rethought".

This year, in a transformed environment that makes partnerships and the sharing of expertise paramount, we are inviting the defence and MRO sectors to participate in a combined event that will be 100% virtual. MRO and Defence Day, which will take place on December 16, is reinventing itself to ensure a dynamic experience for participants who will be able to attend the activities of their choice on the theme of defence or MRO during a day of conferences, workshops and B2B meetings.

On December 16, Aéro Montréal will present Vitrines 2020, the major aerospace employment and training event.

Vitrines 2020 offers participants a 100% virtual experience that will allow them to discover the many career, employment, internship, learning and training opportunities currently available within the aerospace sector.

The program includes meetings with employers looking for the next generation of talent; discussions with school and university representatives to learn more about the many career and training opportunities available; conferences, demonstrations and immersion in the world of aerospace; and a student competition. For the complete program, click here.

Faced with an unprecedented health crisis, the Quebec aerospace industry is undergoing a period of transition that will have major repercussions on the aerospace ecosystem. The pandemic’s impacts on the industry, the challenges of maintaining a workforce and the emergence of new technologies, particularly clean technologies, are important challenges that affect the strategic directions of the industry’s top players. Our university and CEGEP students will be joining the workforce in the midst of a transitional period. We must therefore reassure them about the future of the industry and empower them to cope with the new reality of Quebec's aerospace sector. Do not miss this unprecedented event in the presence of Minister Jean Boulet. Event in french

A market with potential: defence | Training on the Canadian market

In the current environment, companies realize that diversification into new markets allows them to limit risks and take advantage of new opportunities.

While the Canadian defense market represents an avenue of diversification for existing players, integration into the value chain is not easy. To respond to this challenge, Aéro Montréal and Cirrus Research Associates offer training on the Canadian defense market with the intervention of 4 experts: Alan Stephenson, Marc Bourret, Pierre Rochefort, Steve Lucas.
