📚 National Capital Commission

•  The National Capital Commission has bought the former Chapters location on Rideau Street. The Commission has not yet said what it wants to do with the building but did say, ‘This building was purchased because it is considered part of the National Interest Land Mass due to its prominent location along Confederation Boulevard, and its potential to bring new life to this area of the downtown core’. •  The Ottawa Humane Society is warning that pets are at risk from the cold weather this week. Outdoor cats in particular are in danger, as are dogs going for walks without proper gear. People who find an outdoor stray at risk can call 311. (Toula Mazloum at CTV)
