I Musici de Montréal et Cameron Crozman                   

De retour à Ottawa, I Musici de Montréal propose une soirée en compagnie d'André Prévost, Schumann, Denis Gougeon et Britten. Le violoncelliste Cameron Crozman se produira aux côtés d'I Musici sur son instrument Stradivarius Bonjour (un prêt du Conseil des Arts du Canada), dans le Concerto pour violoncelle de Schumann joué dans une version pour violoncelle seul et cordes.

En clôture du Festival 2018,  I Musici de Montréal et  Jean-Marie Zeitouni invitent à une rencontre festive entre l’Allemagne et le Royaume-Uni. De la passion toute britannique d’Elgar aux festives danses de Brahms en passant par le romantisme exacerbé de Schumann avec le violoncelliste Yegor Dyachkov, découvrez ou redécouvrez la riche sonorité de cet ensemble, fondé en 1983 par le violoncelliste, chef d’orchestre et ancien directeur artistique d’Orford Musique, Yuli Turovsky.

De la passion toute britannique d’Elgar aux festives danses hongroises de Brahms, en passant par le langage musical fascinant d’André Prévost, découvrez et redécouvrez la riche sonorité d'I Musici de Montréal. En clôture de ce concert, les Variations sur un thème de Frank Bridge de Britten, une oeuvre virtuose empreinte d’humour et de surprises.     

Dès 18 h 40, découvrez un jeune musicien récipiendaire du Concours de musique du Canada.

To conclude ChamberFest's 25th Anniversary edition, I Musici de Montréal offers Ottawa music lovers an evening placing Quebec composers alongside the Romantics. I Musici is joined by Cameron Crozman, who will elicit the splendor of the “Bonjour” Stradivarius cello (on loan from the Canada Council for the Arts) in a performance of Schumann’s heart-felt Cello Concerto in a version for solo cello and strings.

A Festive Encounter                    

To wrap up the 2018 edition of the Festival, I Musici de Montréal and Jean-Marie Zeitouni invite Festival-goers to a festive mix of German and British music. The concert, which will feature music by fiery British composer Elgar, festive dances by Brahms and highly expressive romantic works by Schumann with cellist Yegor Dyachkov, will be an opportunity to discover and rediscover the rich sounds of this ensemble founded in 1983 by the late cellist, conductor and artistic director of Orford Music, Yuli Turovsky.

An Evening at the Belvédère     

Discover and rediscover the enveloping sound of I Musici's strings in Elgar's charming Serenade, Brahms's hearty Hungarian dances and André Prévost's opulent musical language. Britten's witty and virtuosic Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge conclude this concert by the majestic St. Lawrence River.     

From 6:40 p.m., discover a young laureate from the most recent Canadian Music Competition.
