Nous annoncions récemment un renouvellement stratégique de notre gouvernance. Ces changements visent à assurer la pérennité d'I Musici de Montréal alors que l’Orchestre s’engage dans une nouvelle phase de développement. David B. Sela, président du conseil d’administration de l’Orchestre depuis une décennie, agira dorénavant en tant que Président de la Fondation I Musici de Montréal. Ami fidèle d’I Musici et de ses artistes, M. Sela confirme ainsi son engagement envers l’organisme. Louise Vaillancourt devient présidente du conseil d’administration de l’Orchestre de chambre I Musici de Montréal. Mme Vaillancourt est investie au sein de l’organisme depuis 2015 en tant que mécène et, jusqu'à sa récente nomination, secrétaire du conseil. I Musici a profité de l’occasion pour annoncer la nomination récente de nouvelles administratrices et nouveaux administrateurs au sein du conseil d’administration, soit Pierre Brodeur, CPA, CA, Marie-Michelle Demers (École nationale de théâtre), Antonio Iacovelli (Miller Thomson), Nicolas Pawlonka (EY), Lynda St-Arneault (ExoB2B) et Paule Tardif (BCF). De plus, Louise Vaillancourt a souligné l'apport considérable de Stéphane Deslauriers (Centaurus), président du Comité de gouvernance et de recrutement , lors de cette importante phase de recrutement. Sièges non réservés. | DÉCOUVREZ ANDREI FEHER, CHEF D'ORCHESTRE En s'imposant rapidement comme l'une des étoiles émergentes de sa génération, Andrei Feher a récemment été nommé nouveau directeur musical du Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra à compter d'août 2018. Sélectionné après une longue recherche de 18 mois, Feher a été remarqué pour la prouesse de sa direction et sa musicalité, ainsi que pour son approche imaginative de la performance, du répertoire et de la connexion. | | Ayant acquis une expérience en tant qu'assistant de Fabien Gabel à l'Orchestre symphonique de Québec à l'âge de 22 ans seulement, en septembre 2014, Andrei a rejoint l'Orchestre de Paris en tant que chef adjoint de son directeur musical, Paavo Järvi. Cette période a marqué sa collaboration avec des chefs dont Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, Christoph von Dohnányi, Thomas Hengelbrock et Jaap van Zweden ainsi que des invitations régulières à diriger l’orchestre dans leurs concerts populaires « Young Public » à la Philharmonie de Paris. En 2013, il a été invité à diriger le concert de clôture du Young Prague Festival, dans la salle Dvořák du Rudolfinum avant de travailler avec Yannick Nézet-Séguin, qu'il a remplacé à la tête de l'Orchestre Métropolitan de Montréal en 2014 dans un programme Richard Strauss, après quoi il fut immédiatement réinvité à diriger pour la série d'abonnements de l'orchestre. La saison 2015/16 a vu Andrei revenir pour diriger à la fois l'Orchestre symphonique de Québec, l'Orchestre métropolitain de Montréal et l'Orchestre de Paris dans les représentations de Casse-noisette de Tchaikovsky, Pierre et le Loup par Prokofiev et Til Eulenspiegel de Strauss. En défenseur puissant de la musique contemporaine, il a récemment créé des œuvres d'Eric Champagne, Pierre Mercure, George Dimitrov, Ciprian Pop et Abigail Richardson et, en novembre 2015, a donné la première mondiale de Soleil noir de Pierre Jodlowski avec l'Orchestre de Pau-Béarn, un engagement qui a entraîné une réinvitation immédiate à travailler avec l'orchestre pour la saison 17/18 ainsi qu'une reprise de Soleil noir à Toulouse en novembre 2016. En 2016/17, Andrei Feher a fait ses débuts avec l'Orchestre philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, l'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, le Filarmonica de Stat 'Transilvania' à Cluj et l'Orchestre symphonique de Kitchener Waterloo. Ses débuts avec l'Orchestre de chambre de Lausanne ont conduit à deux réinvitations de l'orchestre à diriger pour leur populaires Sunday Series ainsi qu'à la première mondiale de l'opéra de Thierry Besancon pour les enfants 'Les Zoocrates'. Son retour à l'Orchestre symphonique de Québec avec Mozart et Dvorak a reçu une grande acclamation des critiques. Parmi les points culminants de la saison 17/18 figurent des débuts avec l'Orchestre national de la radio roumaine, l'Orchestre symphonique d'Edmonton, les Violons du Roy, l'Orchestre nationale d'Ile de France ainsi que les réinvitations au Filarmonica de Stat ‘Transilvania’ et des concerts avec le Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. We recently announced a strategic renewal of our governance structure. The purpose of these changes is to assure the sustainability of I Musici de Montréal as the orchestra embarks on its next phase of development. David B. Sela, Chair of the orchestra’s Board of Directors for over a decade, will from now on be Chair of the Fondation I Musici de Montréal. Devoted friend of I Musici and its artists, Mr. Sela reaffirms his commitment towards the organization. No reserved seating. | MEET ANDREI FEHER, CONDUCTOR Rapidly establishing himself as one of the rising stars of his generation, Andrei Feher was recently appointed as the new Music Director of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra effective August 2018. Feher, chosen after a thorough 18-month long search, was noted for his conducting prowess and musicianship, as well his imaginative approach to performance, repertoire and community connection. | | Having gained early experience as assistant to Fabien Gabel at the Québec Symphony Orchestra at the age of 22, in September 2014, Andrei joined the Orchestre de Paris as Assistant Conductor to its Music Director, Paavo Järvi, during which time he collaborated with conductors including Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, Christoph von Dohnányi, Thomas Hengelbrock and Jaap van Zweden, as well as being regularly invited to conduct the orchestra in their highly popular « Young Public » concerts at the Philharmonie de Paris.
