| SHA CARES - Living our Values | How robot-assisted surgery is improving patient care By expanding robotic surgery, we’re putting patients first — improving access to advanced, precise care closer to home for people across Saskatchewan. | Complete the Hospital Security and Protective Services survey | Submit by: August 5, 2026 As part of the independent, third-party review of hospital safety and security announced by the Ministry of Health, all Saskatchewan Health Authority employees are invited to voluntarily participate in the Hospital Security and Protective Services survey.
The survey is being conducted and administered by Buckingham Security Services Ltd. and is completely confidential. All survey responses go directly to Buckingham Security Services Ltd.
The scope of the review includes hospital and health centres, safety assessments, the legislative and regulatory environment, jurisdictional scanning, service delivery analysis, training and competency standards, tools and infrastructure, and stakeholder engagement.
The review will not involve detailed investigations of individual incidents, ongoing investigations, or processes currently underway or already completed. Your experiences and perspectives are valuable in shaping the final report. | Share your feedback on Translation Services | Submit by: July 17, 2026 SHA is seeking employee feedback about Translation and Interpretation Services. While these services support patient care, this survey is open to all staff, not just those who currently use them.

Please contact the Professional Practice Manager for your profession. | Clinical Procedure Updates – Anaphylaxis | The following clinical procedures have been revised: Updates include: - Addition of Nurse Practitioners to the Most Responsible Practitioner (MRP) role statement.
- Revision of the scope list to reflect that Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in Saskatchewan have the scope and professional accountability to recognize, respond to, and escalate suspected anaphylaxis.
These updates align the procedures with current provincial practice and professional accountabilities. The documents apply to all adult acute care inpatient units, including critical care and maternity.
All Saskatoon clinical acute care staff and physicians are required to review and begin using the new documents: Implementation Resources: A provincial rollout is scheduled for September 16, 2026 across all Acute Care sites.
