Register here | | Friday 20 January is the last day to register for the Winter Term 2023 and to change your course selection (i.e. add or drop a course, or change your group). After this date, a dropped course will be charged. This is also the deadline for a complete withdrawal without charge. Please note! Before making your choice of courses, it is very important to complete your study plan with your director of studies or research. The study plan is mandatory for all new graduate students. Learn more For importante dates, see the university calendar. | The OPUS card allows you to use public transportation in the city - the Société de transport de Montréal (STM). If you are a full-time student (or considered a full-time student), you can pay reduced fares by purchasing a student OPUS card (photo required). If you meet eligibility criteria, you can apply online from your Student file or directly in the STM photo studio, located at 1755 Berri Street, Montreal. The latter will be processing student requests by appointment only. Consult the STM CEEL document explaining how to order the OPUS card online. Lear more about the OPUS card | | ⚠️ATTENTION! To order the OPUS card online, you must already have your Polytechnique Montréal Student ID card, because the photo from your Polytechnique ID card will be used by the STM for your OPUS card. Please allow 24 hours for the transfer of your photo to your Student File. To see the Student ID card issuance schedule, please consult the Institutional Security Service website. | Coopoly is a cooperative bookstore is the ideal place to shop for books and academic supplies. Don't hesitate to register! - The course SSH0345 – Pratique du français écrit is for you if you already speak French and you wish to significantly develop the quality of your written expression (grammar, syntax, etc.). Please note that SSH0345 is not a course for beginners.
- SSH3351 – Anglais pour ingénieurs 1 (Elementary level to Intermediate - 1 level) and SSH3352 – Anglais pour ingénieurs 2 (Intermediate - 2 level) are tailor-made courses, depending on your language level, with reminders of grammar and technical vocabulary. They will allow you to improve your understanding of technical documents and improve your oral skills. A placement test will be held during the first class of the semester to make sure that you are in the appropriate level.
| Deadline for arrival in Canada To maintain your registration for the winter Term 2023, you must arrive in Canada no later than January 20, 2023 and be able to start your on-campus classes the following day. No exceptions can be made to this date, regardless of the reason for the delay. Deferral of admission If you are unable to arrive by this date, you will need to defer your admission to the next term, if your offer of admission allows. You will also have to defer your arrival in Canada to the weeks before your program starts. Submitting administrative documents to the Registrar's Office ➡️ Don't forget to provide a copy of your immigration documents and, if applicable, your proof of exemption from the International Student Health and Hospitalization Insurance (ASHEE) to the Registrar's Office at Polytechnique, no later than January 20, 2023.
