Recreate Responsibly: B.C. Day Long Weekend

Let’s play safe in our beautiful backyard!

As we head into the B.C. Day long weekend, we'd like share a few reminders to ensure a safe and responsible good time:

Leave No Trace → pack out what you pack in. With thousands of people recreating, the impact from waste left behind can be significant. Check out Red Bag Program from Tourism Squamish.

Be FireSmart → the campfire ban remains in effect. The prevalence of wildfire in B.C. reminds us to be extra vigilant this season and help keep our community safe.

Know Your Limits → Squamish’s vast terrain can present hazards if you are unprepared. Please remember to carry water, food and a cell phone when hitting the trails.

For more information, visit squamish.ca/responsible-recreation.

Enjoy the long weekend, whether you're soaking up peaceful time in nature or celebrating at local events.
