A REMINDER: Major change to Common Frequency Areas (CFA) around Montreal coming May 19, 2022

You navigate in the Montreal area or plan to do so, you must consult Aeronautical Information Circular 14/22 by clicking   HERE . Your safety and that of other users of this airspace depends on it.

All relevant information will also be found in up-to-date aeronautical publications such as VTA (VFR Terminal Area Chart), VNC (VFR Aeronautical Navigation Chart) and Canada Flight Supplement (CFS) charts. Be sure to confirm that your electronic flight bag (Foreflight or FlightPlan Go) has this new information.

So, on May 19, 2022, two CFAs come into effect, covering a large area up to 50 NM from Montreal.

The zones are shown in the image above. The two areas extend from the ground up to 5,500 ASL (elevation above sea level) and are separated by the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. The frequency of CFA Montréal-Nord is 122.1 MHz. The frequency of CFA Montréal-Sud is 122.575 MHz.

It is also possible to use WeTransfer, MailDrop from Apple, Google Drive in Gmail or OneDrive from Microsoft.
