ZERO WASTE TIP OF THE WEEK

Compostable or biodegradable plastic bags are prohibited in our organics curbside collection program. The material cannot be broken down at our compost facility and must be manually removed. Please opt for recycled paper bags or use newspaper as liners for your kitchen container. If you are bothered by odour or liquids, we recommend keeping your kitchen organics container or paper bags in the freezer. Fill up and empty when full – completely free of annoying smells.
