Dr. Tom Lloyd: Self and Relational Awareness Workshop
In late May, Island Health is excited to host Dr. Tom Lloyd for two day-long workshops open to medical staff and medical leaders. This learning workshop is co-funded via the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Physician Psychological and Physical Safety and will be an opportunity to learn new leadership skills, alongside 35 medical staff peers from across the Island. Key goals include strengthening team building skills in healthcare settings and promoting psychological safety in teams – whether you are in an informal or formal leadership role.

Speaker: Dr. Tom Lloyd, LLM, MB ChB, MD, MRCS, MFFLM, COC, originally trained in the UK in General Surgery before becoming a medicolegal advisor at the Medical Protection Society (similar to the Canadian Medical Protective Association - CMPA) in London, UK. After several years with CMPA and Director of the Saegis Safety Institute, Dr. Lloyd transitioned to work as a consultant for healthcare professionals looking for personal growth and to hone their leadership skills. He also works with healthcare teams looking to improve communication and collaboration.

This full day session is in the process of accreditation with UBC and as a result, is not a compensated training session. Full agenda to be circulated. Each session has up to 35 seats for medical leaders/ medical staff. Includes light breakfast and lunch.
