Increased Alcohol Use During COVID-19 Pandemic

As a health care professional, you or your colleagues may also be experiencing additional stress due to changes in work demands. If you are using alcohol, cannabis, or other substances to cope, try to practice alternative strategies to reduce risks to your well-being. Do not hesitate to reach out for help through available Employee Assistance Program (EAP) programs if you are an employee, specialized healthcare provider support programs through your professional associations such as the OMA, or community services that are listed on our website.
