JANUARY 2022

New Year, New Workshop! Changing Perspectives: The power of reframing

Are you quick to judge others? What about judging yourself? If so, this is the workshop for you. We will learn how to look at personality traits from more than one angle. Any attribute that might be viewed as negative from one perspective can equally be seen as positive from another. This is called reframing and it can have a powerful impact on both our views of others and ourselves.

First offering will be January 22nd from 2-3pm. Sign up here

CLIENT SUCCESS STORY

Roy was unemployed and had been actively looking for work for about three months when he was connected to WorkBC. Roy was an immigrant to Canada and his lack of experience was making it difficult to find work.

He developed a link with his Employment Specialist, Ann, to receive support with his job search. Roy attended several Network to Work Café sessions, where he was able to gain tips and connect with other job seekers. He also attended the Resume Building and Interview workshops to fine-tune his job search efforts. Then, Roy did one-on-one mock interview practice with the facilitation team to work on specific questions that would come up in an interview.

Ultimately, Roy was hired by a tech start-up as a Customer Success Analyst!
