Thinking of a run in the 2026 General Local Elections?
The City of Kimberley’s next local elections will take place on October 17, 2026, and we’re inviting community‑minded individuals to consider stepping into a leadership role.
In this election, voters will elect one Mayor, six Councillors, and three School Trustees. If you’re passionate about your community and interested in helping shape local decision‑making, running for office may be worth exploring.

You may be eligible to run for an elected official role if you:
- Are a Canadian citizen
- Are 18 years of age or older on election day
