Completed work

Removal of BC Hydro poles

The existing BC Hydro poles along the One-Way have been removed following the relocation of electrical servicing underground.

Fun Fact: Electrical servicing for the area has now been fully relocated underground, which is a major milestone for the project.

Installation of concrete sidewalks

The majority of the new concrete sidewalks along the One-Way have been poured.

Fun Fact: New concrete sidewalks are going in along the One-Way, making the area more walkable and improve connectivity for the community.

Ongoing and upcoming works

Installation of curb bulges

New concrete curb bulges are being installed along the One-Way to help guide pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The curb bulges will be adjoined by crosswalks to improve connectivity.

Fun Fact: Curb bulges help calm vehicle traffic, shorten crossing distances for pedestrians, and improve visibility and safety at intersections.

Installation of paving stones

Pavers are being installed at curb bulge locations to create a plaza-like feel along the One-Way, complete with benches for the community to gather.

Fun Fact: Pavers come in a variety of shapes, colours, and patterns, which helps enhance sidewalk areas reflect the character of public gathering areas.
