Newsletter Table of Contents Skills Training Information Sessions With a competative work environment as we have now in Vancouver, it's a good time to consider training or switching careers.WorkBC can provide funding for many programs, and we are providing many upcoming information sessions to share the details of how to access funding and options around skills training.  Join these information sessions to understand the advantages of each institution and what programs are available! Skills Training events in October:  	BCIT Information Session Monday, October 6, 10:00 a.m. virtual: From trades, to healthcare, to IT and sciences, BCIT is a go-to post-secondary for many BC residents. Skills Training Information Session Tuesday October 7, 10:00 a.m. virtual: Learn from our in-house expert Candace Lee about how WorkBC can fund skills training. This program provides a solid theoretical and practical foundation in the application of current medical lab theory, tools, processes, procedures, and practices.  Graduates of the Medical Laboratory Assistant program will gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s healthcare environment. This program was built with this experience in mind! The Essential Work Skills for Newcomers Program is a 4 week program providing participants with the skills to succeed in the Canadian workforce.
