Planning & Design has received reports of issues with window wells of new Single Detached Dwellings encroaching into utility right-of-ways.

Going forward, Planning & Design requires that window wells be clearly indicated on all Site Plans provided for Building Permit and Development Permit applications for Single Detached Dwellings. Additionally, any party whose application includes a window well that projects into a utility right-of-way must complete a Residential Encroachment Agreement form.
