Dear members, dear partners,
In a few days, we will be getting together for the Gilles Demers Awards Gala at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in Montreal. I’m pleased to report that tickets to this historic event of the cluster have sold out!
We received a record number of nominations for this latest edition and many of you have expressed an interest in celebrating the companies that excelled in 2021.
Québec’s Minister of Economy and Innovation, Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, as well as guest speaker Pierre Lavoie will be joining us. A man of action and challenges, Pierre has competed in more than 30 Ironman events around the world and is the founder of the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie: a 1,000 km cycling challenge across Québec aimed at promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles. We will have the opportunity to hear about his extraordinary and uncommon life journey. We will step out of aerospace for a moment to learn how perseverance, surpassing oneself, and the motivation of the teams around us can open doors to success.
I would also like to take advantage of this year-end to invite you to mark April 4 to 7, 2022 in your agendas to participate in International Aerospace Week! We will open this themed week with the International Aerospace Innovation Forum (April 4-5), followed by Defence, Security and Space Day (April 6) and Aéroportail : Vitrines 2022, a day focused on the industry’s future trades.
I hope to see many of you at these exciting upcoming events.
SUZANNE M. BENOÎT, President of Aéro Montréal
