This week's educator resources focus on International Women's Day 2023 (March 8th), which "recognizes and celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women." This day is also a reminder for reflection and action to further support women rights as human rights.

Educator Resources:

  1. Developed by Oxfam, these classroom activities for ages 9-14 "help students to learn about gender equality and take action for a fairer world," and applicable any day of the year.

  2. Women of Impact in Canada is an "online gallery dedicated to women's achievements, featuring profiles of courageous women who have made an impact in politics, the arts and sciences, and countless other fields." It is also supplemented with an interactive map and learning toolkit

  3. Check out 10 TED-Ed Lessons to watch on International Women’s Day.
