LIVING WITH WILDLIFE TIP OF THE WEEK

Squamish, when do you call the RAPP line to report bear activity?

The Conservation Officer Service encourages residents to contact the RAPP line:

  • For any unusual bear sightings in areas where a dangerous human-bear interaction is possible or has occurred – this may also include non-urban areas where human movement is frequent, such as the Estuary; or
  • When a bear is at risk of becoming human-habituated and has been getting food rewards from unmanaged attractants.
