THE HALIFAX ARMDALE REPORT

New Voluntary Vulnerable Persons Registry

Good day, Halifax Armdale!

After the end of the Fall Sitting at the Legislature, it has been my honour to recognize members and businesses in the community, and to raise constituent concerns.

Now more than ever, there is a lot of work to do in this Province, from housing to healthcare, and education, there is a lot to discuss and work towards by holding this government accountable.

As we reach the holidays, I would like to wish everyone warmth in this winter season, and a wonderful time reuniting with family.

As always, please reach out to my office with any provincial concerns. I look forward to hearing from you all!

Sincerely,

Voluntary Vulnerable Persons Registry

After experiencing multiple emergency situations across the province in recent months, the Regional Council has approved a Voluntary Vulnerable Persons Registry (VVPR).

The registry is a voluntary, self-referral list intended for Halifax Regional Municipality residents who may require more support during emergency situations.

The VVPR provides important information to first responders and Emergency Management staff and volunteers to help appropriately respond to resident needs in situations such as sustained power outages, severe storms, and more.
