Tough Toddler

Meet other families in the neighbourhood as you spend the day at the Osborne Centre and get active together! Enjoy pop-up circus play from the Vancouver Circus School, gymnastics, obstacle courses and more! All activities are designed for kids 6 years and under.

Date: Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 11am-2pm

Cost: Free for UBC Campus Families (must pre-register). Due to space capacity, this event is only open to families living in Acadia Park Residence, UNA neighbourhoods and Musqueam.

Research Opportunities

The University of British Columbia, Exercise Metabolism Research Group is seeking males and females ages 19-30 and 65-85 for a study assessing age-related differences in how skeletal muscle responds to a single bout of resistance exercise (lower body weightlifting).

The UBC Exercise Physiology Laboratory seeks to understand whether air pollution can interfere with the health benefits of exercise in patients with high blood pressure.

They are recruiting adults aged 40-70 who are currently taking blood pressure medication, or have been diagnosed with elevated or high blood pressure.

Vancouver Marathon

The Vancouver Half-Marathon will be taking place on the UBC Campus on Sunday June 25th. Parts of SW and NW Marine Drive will be closed that morning so please plan extra time for your journey to Active Kids.
