Soundworks: Behind the Build

Get ready for a “new” attraction to downtown Nanaimo. We had a sneak peek of Soundworks, formerly Nanaimo's iconic A&B Sound building. This space is being transformed into a market hall filled with cafes, restaurants, retail shops and other services. At the corner of Commercial and Terminal, the site is set to become the entryway to a reimagined downtown. Opening is anticipated in 2026!
