Learn more | Feb. 29: Move UBC Pit Stop Stop by the upper-level foyer of the gym from 10 to 11 am to celebrate the conclusion of Move UBC with some sports themed snacks, refreshments, and activities! Learn more | March 1: Undergraduate Research Showcase Learn about undergraduate student projects and experiences through an afternoon of presentations on Friday, March 1, from 2:30 to 4 pm in the Sawchuk Family Theatre (SFT) COM 104. Save the date | March 5: Indigenous Business Speaker Series Learn from local Indigenous thought and business leaders to advance the conversation about truth and reconciling for the future. These esteemed speakers will share their compelling narratives, insights, and achievements to explore how Indigenous businesses are shaping communities and economic opportunities. On March 5, the Faculty of Management will welcome Mic Werstuik, Chief Executive Officer of Ntityix Development Corporation, as the first keynote speaker in the series. Register now | March 6 and 7: Career Fair The UBCO Career Fair is coming back, and it's going to be bigger and better than ever. Spanning two days this year, the Career Fair will feature over 60 employers from a variety of industries. Whether you’re looking to make the next step in your career path, or just want to explore job opportunities that suit your degree program, all UBCO students are welcome to attend. Some tips to make the most of the Career Fair: - bring copies of your resume to hand out to employers

Learn more | Summer Institute in Education The Okanagan School of Education is offering summer learning opportunities focused on current trends and needs in education. Courses start July 2 and are offered in a three-week series (Tuesday to Friday, half-days) or a six-week series (online, asynchronous). Courses are delivered online, in-person, and hybrid. This year's topics include Introduction to Additional Language Teaching and Learning; Play and Early Childhood Education; AI for Educators; Creating Inclusive Spaces, Advancing Equity and Using Anti-Racism Pedagogy; and more. Learn more | Volunteers needed: Help support a bird-friendly campus The Sustainability Office is recruiting volunteers to monitor bird impacts with buildings this spring. Time commitment is two to four times per week for 30 minutes per day. The information collected will help to inform and support UBC’s Bird Friendly Design Guidelines for Buildings. You must apply by Feb. 28 Regardless of whether or not you plan to attend the June 2024 graduation ceremonies, you must apply to graduate before February 28, 2024 in order to receive your degree.
