Procedure for recognizing seniority

An agreement was reached to introduce a one-time process for recognizing seniority, and this was supposed to take place within six months of the creation of Santé Québec, or no later than May 31, 2025.

The timeframe, which was set by the government, was too short to complete the process, jeopardizing the posting of seniority lists on June 1.

Talks are ongoing with the employer about the schedule. But you should still start the process now to protect your seniority rights.

Héma-Québec on strike

After months of unsuccessful talks, Héma-Québec laboratory employees are taking a tougher stance.

On Thursday and Friday, our members took turns on the picket line in front of Héma-Québec offices in Québec City. APTS president Robert Comeau stopped by to motivate the troops.

The main issue is getting a collective agreement that’s in line with the agreement negotiated for all employees in the health and social services system. Maintaining this parity is at the core of the conflict. Solidarity!

Private care: it's not about health.
Sign the citizens' statement!

With the Dubé reform and the creation of Santé Québec, the government is imposing a highly centralized model and rolling out the red carpet to private interests, at the expense of accessible, quality care and services.

The outcome is longer wait times, deteriorating working conditions, chronic underfunding and local services under threat. Privatization weakens the public system.

In response, a broad coalition has formed to send a clear message: health isn’t a commodity; it’s a fundamental right! For a strong, humane, accessible public system, sign the statement Private care: it’s not about health!
