Updates and Information from the City of Chilliwack
Catch Up with City Council
In the last month, Council approved a pilot project to allow responsible alcohol consumption in designated spaces to facilitate more opportunities for social connections outdoors.
Adults can responsibly enjoy an alcoholic beverage in designated areas of Vedder and Crossing parks until October 31. Take our preliminary survey by August 23 to share your thoughts!
We are looking for an artist to create a mural on a new City building to be constructed later this year. Submission deadline is September 3 at 3:30 pm.
In the summer, the combination of high heat and high humidity can be dangerous. Make sure to drink water, wear sunscreen and call, text, or video chat with those who are at higher risk in the heat.
Stage 2 summer watering restrictions are in effect. Even numbered addresses may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays, odd numbered addresses on Thursdays and Sundays between 5-8 am or 7-10 pm.
Have you ever wondered what City departments do? Departments submit quarterly reports outlining their projects for the last three months and post them to our website.
