COHO PARK REMAINS CLOSED

The Conservation Officer Service (COS) has advised Coho Park will remain closed to the public following aggressive bear behaviour.

Please continue to give these bears space and stay clear of the area for your safety. This includes all the trail entrances and area north toward the old Garibaldi Springs golf course.

The COS urges the community to report all wildlife concerns and conflicts to the 24/7 RAPP line at 1.877.952.7277

WASTE TIP OF THE WEEK

Squamish is seeing lots of wildlife activity and with that, lots of broken garbage and organics totes. What can you do to avoid getting your totes damaged by wildlife?

  • Store totes in a garage or shed.
  • Place totes curbside between 5 a.m. & 7 p.m. only on collections day and never the night before.
  • Rinse out all recycling.
  • Freeze compost to dispose of on collection day.
  • Always keep your totes locked outside of collection day.
