Quebec has to increase its presence in this sector.
The defence and security sector is a growing source of lucrative opportunities for Quebec’s aerospace SMEs.
Quebec today holds some 20% of Canada’s aerospace defence market. By comparison, Quebec’s aerospace sector (all segments combined) accounts for just over 50% of the Canadian market.
Recent federal defence spending and SME funding has opened a window of opportunity that our province’s firms cannot ignore.
With more than 250 people present, the Symposium held on Monday, October 22, demonstrated the interest of our companies to invest more durably in this market. The exchanges were very positive between the different actors of our cluster.
