Woodgrove Area Plan Project - Extension!

Last chance - have your say before February 1! The City of Nanaimo is inviting the community to provide feedback on the draft policies, actions and monitoring framework that will guide the transition of the Woodgrove Urban Centre into a complete community.

The purpose of the Woodgrove Area Plan project is to provide a roadmap on how to transform the Woodgrove Urban Centre into a vibrant, mixed-use urban centre.

SURVEY

Rental Tenant Relocation Assistance Project

The City of Nanaimo is inviting community feedback to help shape policy to protect renters facing eviction when rental buildings with four or more units are redeveloped.

The City has an estimated 108 purpose built rental apartment buildings totaling approximately 4,200 housing units. Many of these apartment buildings, constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, are nearing the end of their life cycle, and the City may begin to see redevelopment of these buildings as a result.

Your feedback will play an important role in developing a policy and/or regulatory framework that supports tenants facing displacement due to redevelopment

We want to hear from you! The survey closes February 18, 2026. To learn more and take the survey, visit: https://www.getinvolvednanaimo.ca/tenant-assistance

Thank you for your participation!
