Transportation Project Updates from the City of Chilliwack

Teskey Hillside Connector

Work has begun on the new connector road that will reduce travel time for residents on the east side of Promontory. Expect intermittent delays on Teskey Way, Monday to Friday, 9 am – 3 pm.

Crosswalk Upgrades

Work has begun on the 20 locations Council approved for rectangular rapid flashing beacon crosswalks. Installations will include Tyson at Cumberland, Wellington at Hamilton, and more.

Alder-Webb Connector

Construction is nearing completion on this connector road. This project will include paving, drainage, water main, street trees, streetlights, curb and sidewalk works.

Promontory Rd. Widening: Vedder-Chester

Work on concrete curb and sidewalks, utility relocations and electrical continues with the widening of Promontory Road. Two-way traffic to be maintained. Expect delays.

Spadina Avenue (Ashwell to Corbould)

Construction is nearly complete on Spadina. Median curbing, street trees, landscaping, irrigation and street lighting will be completed at the beginning of December.
