The Fraser Highway One-Way Project will improve the area for our businesses, residents, and visitors. It includes replacing aging underground infrastructure and revitalizing the Fraser One-Way with more greenery, new gathering spaces, and better pedestrian amenities.

Completed work

Installation of concrete sidewalks

New concrete sidewalks have been installed in the Phase 1 construction area between Salt Lane and 206 Street. The new sidewalks' smooth finish will help improve pedestrian access to businesses. 

Road surface removal

The asphalt and concrete road surfaces between 204 Street and Salt Lane has been removed in preparation for their replacement.


 

Ongoing and upcoming works

Installation of BC Hydro electrical infrastructure

New underground BC Hydro infrastructure is being installed to help improve electrical servicing for the area.

Installation of sanitary sewer infrastructure 

New underground sanitary pipes will be installed to improve wastewater servicing for the area. 


 

Things to know as construction continues

Construction will generally occur during the day, but some work may take place on weekends or at night. Noisy construction activities won’t be allowed at night. Learn more about the City's Noise Control Bylaw.

As construction continues, vibrations will occur.

• Limited off-street parking is available between Salt Lane and 206 Street.

Work progress dates are based on anticipated construction schedules and may change as work continues.


 

Businesses are open

Access to businesses along the Fraser Highway One-Way will be maintained. You can enter these businesses through their front doors

Traffic control signage and personnel will ensure safe passage for pedestrians and vehicles during construction.

Free parking available throughout the Fraser Hwy One-Way

• Some parking will be available on the One-Way between 206 Street and Salt Lane.

• Langley City Hall: 37 free parking stalls
