Insights Your monthly guide to creative clarity — insights, inspiration, & direction for your artistic journey. | | April - & Spring - have arrived with a sense of quiet unfurling. A bit like the crocus that started blooming in my garden this week. Since the last newsletter, so much has gently taken root here at Blueprint to Brushstrokes — new ideas released into the world, deeper conversations with creatives, and continued exploration of what it really means to create after depletion. Thank you for being part of this season. Your continued presence here reminds me that creative renewal doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens in community, one small, authentic step at a time. | | IN THIS ISSUE: New YouTube videos on the Blueprint to Brushstrokes channel Course Offerings: North Star Mini Reset - Self-directed 5-day mini course and & CCR-6 One‑on‑One Coaching are now available Invitation: Creative Compass Renewal — 6‑Week Small Group Pilot Reflections: (from Vancouver) Finding Sanctuary in Place Creative Practice: finding your “sacred pause” | | North Star Mini Reset - Self-Directed 5-day Mini Course — Now Live. Walking slowly along stone paths, listening to water and wind through trees, I felt my body exhale & relax. There are places that remind us of rhythm, patience, impermanence, but also special places we return to over and over, year after year. That day became a small act of creative care — a reminder that sanctuary is not indulgent; it’s restorative. Over the next two weeks, my upcoming YouTube videos will explore: - the role of place, ritual, and pause in creative recovery
- how to build “sacred space” even within everyday life
Sometimes creativity doesn’t need more effort — it needs permission to relax and flow, like nature. | | Creative Invitation: Sketching a Sacred Place This month’s reflection is an invitation to work with memory, not pressure. Choose a place that has felt sacred to you — a garden, a path, a room, a shoreline, or a quiet corner you return to again and again. If you have a photograph of it, place it nearby. If not, memory is enough. Before you begin, take a moment and ask: What did this place offer me? Then, using pencil, pen, or paint, create a simple sketch — not to capture every detail, but to hold the feeling of being there. Let yourself leave things out. Let the drawing stay unfinished if it wants to. This isn’t about accuracy. It’s about remembering how it felt to arrive. When you’re done, pause and notice what remains on the page — and what didn’t need to follow you home. - Creative Compass Renewal — small group pilot (April/May)
- Studio vlogs & spring sketching reflections
- Continued conversations on burnout, recovery & devotion
- Deeper community touchpoints coming soon
