State-of-the-art Mass Timber Expansion

Sylvain Gilbert, owner and founder of the company, along with his son Frank Gilbert and nephew, Sebastien Gilbert are proud to announce the construction of a new building. The expansion of its head office in Roberval will be totally dedicated to employees as a lunch room, entertainment and social activities. As a family business, we felt it was important to have a place to gather.

The 6,500-square-foot expansion represents an investment of more than a million dollars. Work began in September 2020 and will be completed in early 2021. This new expansion is intended as a common living space. A place where the well-being of all employees is a priority," said Sylvain Gilbert.

Modern architecture emphasizes wood in many forms, which was natural since the company has been serving this industry in various ways since its beginnings. Moreover, the structure and ceiling of the hall will be built with mass timber beams from Nordic Chantiers Chibougamau, one of the company's customers.

Quick-change : The removable side jaws allow you to quickly change between sheet piling and H-Beams to pipes and timber piles. 

3PAS : This technology offers a unique 3 point grip configuration. The holding system gives the side grip pile driver a maximum holding force, therefore fast driving. 

2 Jaws Opening : Both side jaws will open to help manage easily and safely large beams. 

Power Drive : The power drive ensures force is optimally transferred to the pile for faster driving process.

New dealer in Australia and New Zealand 

We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Mabey Hire Ltd for the Australian and New Zealand markets for the representation of our Gilbert Grizzly Pile Drivers.

Mabey Hire Ltd is a leading construction and engineering services specialist that has been in the industry for many years. They provide expertise and equipment mainly for bridging, shoring projects as well as temporary groundworks and access to their roadways.

We are extremely happy to welcome them! It is a big step ahead for us in developing a market that is geographically more challenging to cover!

Discover how the Gilbert Grizzly MultiGrip allowed Foundiz to work in the most challenging conditions with success  

Inland shipping is a reliable and durable way of transportation and is growing compared to traditional transport of containers by truck. In fact, one vessel of 4.500 tons has the same capacity as 220 trucks! To create a better passage for these ships, the connection between the river Schelde in Belgium and the Seine river (coming from France) is being improved.

The river, of course, was open for transport during the installation of the sheet piles. All of this space and height restrictions, made our Gilbert Grizzly MultiGrip an evident choice. Foundiz, our distributor, was contacted by the contractor and offered their triple bloom excavator.
