This collaboration led to the seamless start-up of the Gilbert MG-90 Variable Moment Pile Driver — a high-performance, efficient solution designed to tackle challenging soil conditions and operate effectively in urban and sensitive environments. The MG-90’s Variable Moment feature allows for real-time adjustment of vibration amplitude, giving operators the ability to tailor the driving force according to specific soil conditions and project needs. We look forward to continuing our work with Rig Rents and other partners across North America. | --------------- JOB STORY | Building the Annapolis Pedestrian Boardwalk | Kingfisher Construction is undertaking a large-scale project to build a pedestrian boardwalk alongside a busy roadway embankment in Annapolis, Maryland. They chose to work with Alessi Equipment, our Gilbert Pile Driving Equipment dealer on the East Coast, on the purchase of a Gilbert Multi-Grip MG-60 Pile Driver to complete this project, which required precise equipment that can handle limited access and ensure safety while keeping the process efficient. This 15-foot-wide, 400-foot-long boardwalk will be supported by timber piles that require careful installation on a challenging, narrow site. The MG-60 side grip pile driver proved to be the ideal solution for Kingfisher Construction. As John Mercer shared, “The MG-60 operates reliably, and the controls and user interface are well thought out and easy to work with. It has been great to work with on this job.” With the side grip, John and his team were able to set and drive piles in the tight, embankment-adjacent work zone, a task that would have been impossible with traditional equipment.
