The 5 D's to interrupt racism and hate

The Comox Valley Community Justice Centre has created a new poster to help people support those who are experiencing racism or hate. The poster offers a practical framework for bystanders to intervene, while reminding people to always prioritize safety.

Contact info@communityjusticecentre.ca for a copy of the poster for your organization.

If you live in the Comox Valley, you can also use the CVCJC's online reporting tool to report incidents of racism and hate. By reporting, you assist in identifying patterns of racism and hate within our community and province. This will, in turn, help inform the development of anti-racism resources and initiatives. (Reporting is confidential, and not intended to replace emergency services.)

AccessNow’s MapMission 2025!

Motion is proud to be a Community Partner for AccessNow’s MapMission 2025! In May 2025, people will get out in their communities to map accessibility in towns and cities by populating the AccessNow app - founded by Motion client Maayan Ziv.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  1. Download the AccessNow app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. On your own time or as part of our Day of Giving (Sunday May 25th), map the accessibility of places in your community, in advance of, or following MapMission Month.

Motion Courtenay is your local North island Provider of commercial/residential accessibility equipment.
