Any creative adventure includes tools of some sort, and there are oodles of tools in the stamping and papercraft arena to make it easier, and make some parts of the process a little quicker.

I love tools. There are a few in my craft room I cannot live without. Number one on my list is my Take Your Pick Tool. It has so many uses, and I reach for it multiple times in a creative session.

I use the putty end to help pick up gems. The spatula end is reguarly called into play to lift ends of tear tape, take backs off dimensionals, or help pry up pieces of paper stuck where they shouldn't be. The piercing end is used for making holes for brads, and the stylus is used to make score lines, free-hand designs, or to poke ribbon through holes without damage.

Check out this video for tips and ideas for the Take Your Pick tool.

What is your favourite stamping tool? Pop over to my Facebook page and let me know!

Colour refresh

Every few years, Stampin' Up! refreshes the colours on offer. We know for sure the 2021-23 colours Polished Pink, Pale Papary, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Fresh Freesia will be retiring. The colour refresh will be released soon.

What does this mean? If there is a colour you particularly love, you may want to stock up on paper, and reinkers. The retiring items will be available while supplies last, but once they are gone, they're gone. I will share with you the colours that are retiring as soon as I can.

While it can be sad to see some favourites go (for me last time it was Island Indigo and Chocolate Chip), there will be new colours that will be just as awesome (or maybe even more!)

If there is anything I can help you with during the transition, please, don't hesitate to let me know. I am here to help you!
