Learn more | | | Community Enhancement Grants are now open Community Enhancement Grants support vulnerable citizens, youth, reconciliation, equity and diversity, social, mental health and physical well-being, environmental stewardship, recreation programming and connectedness in our community. This grant is specifically geared towards projects that seek to enhance the community of Squamish through programming that aligns with the overarching goals of the District of Squamish’s Official Community Plan. Learn more | | Infrastructure Upgrades and Impacts: | Mamquam Road Sewer Upgrades The Mamquam Road sewer upgrade project is underway and will continue through December. Impacts: Mamquam Road will remain open to traffic to Highway 99, however it is possible that the westbound lane (access off Highway 99 toward Government Road) may be closed if more construction space is needed. Construction noise will be limited to hours permitted under the Noise Bylaw. | Read Crescent Watermain Watermain replacement and sanitary sewer upgrades will take place along Read Crescent and Read Place. Read Crescent will be fully repaved spring 2023. Impacts: Expect single lane alternating traffic and delays. Timeframe: Through November. | Pioneer Way/Queens Way intersection upgrades Improvements to the east side of the Pioneer Way/ Queens Way intersection are currently underway. Improvements include paving, curb and sidewalk, multi-use pathway and lighting. Impacts: Expect single-lane traffic on Queens Way.
