The City continues to closely monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 and the preventive measures recommended by the Government of Quebec.

All of the measures that were announced in previous communications are still in effect.

PERMITS FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK OR OTHER

If you need a permit for construction work, tree cutting or other, please contact 514-457-5500 or info@sadb.qc.ca to inform us of your need. An inspector will contact you within 48 hours to give you the steps to follow. This measure is in effect until further notice.

FLOODS EMERGENCY PLAN

We are currently working on the emergency plan and measures regarding the floods. As for the information session on this subject, we are analyzing the situation, given the current recommendations in connection with COVID-19. More information will follow soon.

DAY CAMP REGISTRATION

The registration date for the municipal day camp is currently postponed. We are currently assessing the situation and will notify citizens when a new date is set. Find more information on the day camp on our website.

DEFERRED PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION

Please note that the public information session regarding the draft by-law 533-73 concerning retail terraces, initially scheduled for April 1st, has been postponed to an undetermined date.

SERVICES FOR CITIZENS

UNIPRIX AND MARCHÉ RICHELIEU

The Uniprix pharmacy and the Marché Richelieu are still open according to their regular hours.

Uniprix encourages its customers to renew prescriptions online or by phone at 514-457-5681, in order to limit the waiting time in store. The delivery service is also available.

The Marché Richelieu has increased its delivery team and invites its customers to use this option for their purchases. Contact 514-457-5731.

Note that in view of the closings of certain bank branches due to measures taken in connection with COVID-19, payment by bank card or credit card is preferred.

 

PUBLIC TRANSIT

All public transportation services are maintained, with the exception of certain services dedicated to CEGEPs.

EXO and the STM have implemented additional cleaning measures and invite people to follow the recommended health guidelines.

SUPPORT FOR PERSONS IN ISOLATION

The Canadian Red Cross offers support and comfort to repatriated Canadians who are quarantined for a period of 14 days.

Among the services offered, the Red Cross is providing information, meal delivery, safety and well-being support, wellness checks and referrals for mental health needs.

SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT

The current events surrounding the Covid-19 can affect all spheres of life.

211 is an information and social reference service, which, thanks to an easy-to-remember telephone number (2-1-1), allows anyone with social needs to find free or low-cost services.

The service is free, confidential and anonymous. It is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays.
