THE BEDFORD SOUTH REPORT

It's been a tough summer.

Hi everyone,

This summer has been a difficult time for many throughout our community and the province as recent rainstorms caused devastation and loss of life. This tragic situation coming so soon after the earlier wildfires, has really forced so many of you, and especially our incredible first responders, to find an inner strength to work night and day during some extremely harrowing experiences.

Thank you everyone for being here for each other and for your unwavering support of those in need. If you or anyone you know is having difficulty or suffering, please reach out for help, as no one should ever feel they are alone.

It is amazing to think we are coming up to 2 years since I was first elected to be the MLA for Bedford South. To celebrate our fast growing, ever evolving great community, I am hosting the 2nd Annual Bedford South End of Summer Fest. You can find more details in this newsletter.

In the meantime, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your summer. Here’s hoping for some beautiful weather to allow us to be in the great outdoors.

All the very best,

The home-sharing platform Happipad has expanded in Nova Scotia to provide a home-sharing program to help match people seeking short-term accommodations with homeowners who have rooms available to rent.

Happipad will complete thorough background checks, match renters with hosts, collect and distribute the rent, and provide dispute resolution support in case of host or renter concerns.
