February 2022

I enjoy filling these winter months with cozy sweaters, warm drinks and food, and fireside talks. These months also add variety to the activities that I choose to do. I try to get in every ray of sunshine that the Okanagan allows for with winter hikes in fresh snow with friends or pulling my kids around on a sled in my backyard while my dog chases them. Both activities include sweating and plenty of laughter. And when the temperature drops too low, it brings me inside for indoor workouts and walking meetings on the track in the gym throughout the day.

February is Move UBC month, an annual initiative aimed at getting our campus community more active and less sedentary. It is also an opportunity to learn about how to move more, move well, keep moving and move for the planet. I encourage you to discover or re-discover the ways that you enjoy being active throughout this month and be sure to check out the Move UBC calendar for events, programs, and the many ways that you can be active.

Move. Play. Train.
