UBC Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference (MURC) Call for Adjudicators

The UBC Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference (MURC) is currently looking for adjudicators to evaluate presentations on the day-of the conference! MURC is one of the largest undergraduate research conferences at UBC, and will host over 550 undergraduate student presenters to showcase over 330 presentations. This year, MURC 2020 will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 2020 at the UBC-Vancouver campus.

The Geneva Challenge 2020: The Challenges of Social Inclusion

The 2020 edition of The Geneva Challenge: Advancing Development Goals International Contest for graduate students is a project funded by Swiss Ambassador Jenö Staehelin and aims to encourage interdisciplinary problem solving analysis among master students on advancing human development within the scope of a relevant topic. This year, students are invited to develop analysis-based proposals on “The Challenges of Social Inclusion.“ 

Registrations close on 23 March 2020.

Submission due by 17 July 2020.

Agrobiodiversity Summer School in Switzerland

The Agrobiodiversity Summer School consists of a preparatory phase and a 10-days study week. In the preparatory phase (April-July 2020) you will elaborate on a core aspect of agrobiodiversity and conduct a case study related to the local agrobiodiversity of your home country or place of study. You will report the results of this phase in our online agrobiodiversity wiki and present it during the study week. In 2020, the 10-days study week will take place in the mountainous area of Switzerland (Wergenstein) from August 10th to 19th. After successful completion of the course, you will be awarded 4 ECTS.
