Built in 1893 by the famed Canadian lawyer Britton Bath Osler, most notable for his role in the trial of Louis Riel. This 5,000-square-foot granite marvel was a true architectural outlier for the Collingwood region. Osler named the estate Kionontio ("Top of the Hill") and constructed it as a sanctuary for his wife, Caroline, hoping the mountain air would soothe her severe illness.
